The University of Virginia's Darden School of Business celebrated its 50th anniversary today. When it began in 1955, there were only 38 students, all white, all male. Many of them showed up at the event. Now Darden's student population has grown to 600, including both male and females. Of those students, 25 percent are from different countries.
"It's changed so much, we're really an international community that trains people who take over businesses and become great leaders all over the world and were looking forward definitely to the next 50," said Ken White, Communications and Marketing Director for the Darden School.
The Darden school recently ranked eighth on Forbes magazines list of top business schools.
