Charlottesville's newest live music venue is hosting Friday's After Five tonight. It is the first Friday's After Five at the new Charlottesville Pavilion and a lot of people are really excited. Rain or shine, officials are expected to really pack the house.
Terri Allard and her band performed at the Charlottesville Pavilion's first Fridays After Five.
Allard got her start here in Charlottesville nearly two decades ago, and since then, she's been touring across the country.
Allard and her band were excited to be performing in their hometown.
"It's just going to be fun. And what I love about Fridays is that all the families can come. All the different people who've been listening to our music for so long. So we get the little teeny ones on up to the big ones. We play a lot of stuff, we really focus for this show on doing a lot of music that people can dance to."
Aside from Fridays After Five, the Pavilion will host at least 20 national artists a year. The first concert will be held Saturday, July 30. It will feature Loretta Lynn and is already sold out.
