Local Earth Day Celebration

This weekend many will be celebrating Earth Day for a "Global Change, Local Action" fair at Charlottesville High School's track from 10am to 3pm Saturday.

There will be booths, displays, live music, raffles, food, kids' activities, a 5k race, and more. The City of Charlottesville, Albemarle County, UVA and area nonprofits are responsible for the event.

A van shuttle service will run from the Downtown Transit Center to the CHS track with a stop at the McIntire Road County Office Building every 30 minutes from 10am to 3pm.
