Charlottesville Police arrested the man Albemarle County Police have been hunting for since Tuesday night.

Police say a call to 911 led them to 19-year-old Adrian Jamal Howard Wednesday evening.

They say he was hiding out at the Budget Inn on Emmett Street. When police arrived at the hotel, they found Howard had registered in his own name.

"Two of us went out back, three officers went through the front door, the door of the apartment. [We] knocked [at the door of] the room and he opened the door. When there was several pistols in his face, he decided to give up very quickly," said Lt. Gary Pleasants of the Charlottesville Police.

Albemarle County police believe Howard may be involved in the shooting at Abbington Crossing Apartment Complex off Rio Road.

Tuesday police found a 31-year-old victim slumped over the wheel of a silver GMC Yukon. He has been shot in the head and the neck.

The victim's name has not been released.

Charlottesville police turned Howard over to Albemarle County Police. He is now at the Albemarle Charlottesville Regional Jail. There is no word yet on when his first court appearance will be.
