The big day is here for Greene County Public Schools.

Today marks the start of a new school year. This morning, kids will be heading out the door, and on their way to the bus stops.

The roads will be filled with yellow school buses, and on them will be loads of children throughout Greene County. Today's mid-week start for school may make travel on the roads slower than usual, but at Ruckersville Elementary, traffic will be streamlined around the school for buses, and parents dropping their kids off.

"We're trying to make it a little bit more efficient, and to keep the traffic flowing. We are asking parents to do our new kiss and go policy in the morning. Just...tell them you love them, and send them on their way," said Larry Hart, Principal of Ruckersville Elementary School.

The 'Kiss & Go' policy is sure to take the morning rush to a whole new level at the elementary school.
