Now that the Meadowcreek Parkway may finally become a reality, a former chairman of the county board of supervisors is proposing we change its name.
Forrest Marshall Jr. is rallying support to rename the road the John W. Warner parkway.
Senator Warner secured $27 million for the parkway and now Marshall says it?s time we pay him back.
He said for all Warner has done for Charlottesville, UVa and for Albemarle County we should reward him.
Marshall presented his idea to the county board of supervisors today and he will speak before Charlottesville city councilors on November 7.
He's asking the public to get behind him by calling their local leaders and endorsing his idea.
