The Rolling Stones are heading to town on October 6, and UVA has come up with a lottery system to ease parking issues for the concert.

Here is how it works. 1,500 lottery winners can buy premium spaces near the stadium for $15. Those who aren't picked can buy same-day tickets for $10. Those tickets will start selling at 5:30 p.m. at the Emmet Street, Central Grounds and Health System garage locations.

Concert-goers can also park downtown and take a shuttle for $3.

Lottery winners be notified by e-mail beginning September 19 and will have 48 hours to purchase their permits.

To enter the lottery, log onto www.virginia.edu/parking or call (434) 924-7231.
