A verdict was handed down in the trial of a teen accused of murdering a Crozet mother and her child.
Jessica Fugett is guilty of killing Nola Charles during a robbery and then setting her house on fire in February 2003.
She is also guilty of felony murder by letting Charles' three year old son die in that fire.
Commonwealth attorney Jim Camblos said it was Jessica's own statements to police that were most damaging.
"She knew way too many details, way too many details to have been told what happened in that house. The fact that she knew all those details, her demeanor in the statement when she confessed and broke down and was crying [was what was so damaging]," said attorney Jim Camblos.
Two other teens involved in the murder have pleaded guilty. One has been sentenced to 23 years in jail. The other will be sentenced next week. Jessica Fuget faces four life sentences.
