The Piedmont Virginia Community College has received a generous donation, the largest gift the college has ever received.
In recognition of the $500,000 donation, the student lounge has been named the Woodrow W. Bolick Student Center, after Mr. Bolick and his daughter Cynthia Shultz who made the donation.
PVCC is thrilled by their generosity.
"This is a wonderful, wonderfully generous gift from the Bolick family," said PVCC President Frank Friedman."It means so much to the college; it will mean so much to our students not just today, but out into the future."
Mr. Bolick is a member of the founding board of PVCC and is credited with giving the college its name.
The gift is part of a $10 million campaign for opportunity and excellence by the college.
