The two opponents vying for the spot as the next Lieutenant Governor stopped in Charlottesville, attempting to get last minute votes.
Republican Bill Bolling and Democrat Leslie Byrne were all around the city, including the Tip Top Restaurant and Wolfies. Both candidates are making the last ditch effort to swing voters in our area. Both said they have the experience and perseverance to get the job done.
"I have the background knowledge and experience in state government to get the job done and I have a record of aggressive and effective leadership," said Bill Bolling.
"We talked about being effective and I think that's the thing that I'm noted for. Over 20 years in Virginia I've proven my effectiveness," said Leslie Byrne.
Both candidates have a full schedule before Election Day on Nov. 8, 2005. They will be traveling all over Virginia asking for your support.
