Students and faculty at Piedmont Virginia Community College have gotten their hands on some new technology.
Starting Monday, the whole campus is officially wireless. PVCC officials say they wanted to offer better access to information anywhere, including outdoors. Instructors also now have the opportunity to create computer labs in any classroom. Officials are thrilled with the new network.
"I think this is a great event. In fact, we are still celebrating. The goal is to see many more people use the wireless network and take advantage of it," said director of information technology at PVCC, Simeon Ananou.
The wireless technology is not only limited to students, staff, and faculty. Visitors can use it as well.
