The Mega Millions jackpot is one of the largest jackpots in the multistate lottery's history.
$315 million is what ticket holders are hoping to win. If you haven't bought a ticket yet, expect long lines. Lottery officials predict tickets will sell at a rate of 6800 per minute. A local gas station knows all too well, they've been swamped all day.
"Every third person is buying a mega millions ticket so it's been all day long since 6 o'clock this morning," said Beverly Staton.
The odds of winning the jackpot are about one in 175 million.
