A woman is safe and sound with police right now after she was abducted at knifepoint earlier tonight.
It happened just after 9 p.m. at the Michael's store in the Barrack's Road Shopping Center. A woman was shopping inside the store when a man approached her with a knife. The man demanded the woman leave the store and go to a nearby ATM.
The man took the victim to the University of Virginia Community Credit Union on Arlington Blvd. where she withdrew an undisclosed amount of money.
The man then fled the scene in a car only described as a red Honda with a partial license plate of GGC. The man is described as a white male, 6'0 to 6'1 tall, 180 to 200 pounds.
The woman was uninjured in the attack and police continue to the investigate the crime.
