Friends of Michelle Collier are remembering her online. The fourth-year UVa student was found dead early Friday by her roommate.

While police investigate what caused the mysterious death of Michelle Collier, her fellow classmates are learning more about the 20-year-old UVa student from New Jersey.

"Everyone looked on Facebook after we heard about it to see who this person was," said Michael Hamann, Michelle's neighbor.

The fourth-year student is listed on facebook.com, an Internet site where students can keep in contact. Under her profile, Michelle described herself as a jokester who was in love with life. Also on the site were dozens of messages from her friends who shared their memories of their time together. They are all shocked over the unexpected news.

"I thought that [it] was really weird; it felt really strange for somebody that young to just be dead," explained Hamann.

Michelle's body was found early Friday morning by a roommate at her home along 3 University Court. Her body carried no signs of trauma and now police are left to piece together why someone so young would die so suddenly.

Off-camera, some of her closest friends described her as fun-loving and energetic; someone who was fun to be around, who will definitely be missed.

Right now an autopsy is underway to determine the cause of death. Those results should be back within the next few weeks.
