2 CHS Alumni Perform at Grammy Award Show

Two alumni from Charlottesville High School (CHS) performed on Sunday night's Grammy Award show.

Devin Malone '98 plays guitar with Hunter Hayes, and Amos Heller '95 plays bass with Taylor Swift.

Other famous CHS alumni include members of the band Parachute, as well as Boyd Tinsley '82 and Carter Beauford with the Dave Matthews Band. Other musicians include Monica Germino '86 and Caroline Buckman '92.

Among classical musicians, Rafe Bell is an internationally noted cellist, Fizt Gary '07 is completing a Fulbright Fellowship in Germany, Joshua MacCluer '96 serves as Principal Trumpet of the Hong Kong Philharmonic, Eva Ryan '07 was recently named co-Principal Flute of the Lahti (Finland) Symphony Orchestra, and Tim Summers '90 is a violinist in the Orpheus Quartet.

Aside from performing professionally, many other former students have gone on to become music teachers.
