ALEXANDRIA, Va. (AP) - Fairfax County police are investigating a fatal crash in Alexandria that killed two people and critically injured a passenger.

Police say a 1995 Lexus was traveling north on Van Dorn Street near Vine Street when it struck a concrete pillar under a railroad bridge. It happened early Sunday around 3 a.m.

Police say 21-year-old Devin Austin of Triangle was the driver and died at the scene. Police say the front-seat passenger, 23-year-old Aminata Sesay of Alexandria, also died. A 20-year-old rear passenger was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Investigators say speed may have been a factor in the crash. They are also looking at whether alcohol was a factor.
