2 Injured in Va. Small Plane Crash

STAFFORD, Va. (AP) - Two people suffered non-life threatening injuries when a small plane crashed in Stafford County.
Virginia State Police say the single-engine fixed-wing Piper Saratoga lost power as it approached Stafford Regional Airport and crashed in a wooded area about 3 miles southeast of the runway around 7 a.m. Sunday.
State police Sgt. Les Tyler tells The Free Lance-Star that the plane had taken off from Hummel Air Field in Saluda about a half-hour earlier.
The 63-year-old male pilot and a passenger, the plane's owner, were taken to Mary Washington Hospital. Their names haven't been released, pending notification of relatives.
State police and the Federal Aviation Administration are investigating the crash.
