2 Rescued After Car Goes into Chickahominy River

HENRICO, Va. (AP) - Two people are in critical condition after a car plunged into the Chickahominy River in Henrico County.

Henrico fire officials tell media outlets that the individuals were unresponsive when they were pulled out of the river following Monday night's accident. Rescue crews resuscitated them as they were transported to VCU Medical Center.

Police searched the river for a third person for several hours. He was later found about a mile away from the site and was taken to a hospital for evaluation.

The accident remains under investigation.
