2 Women Report Attempted Abduction in Charlottesville

On Friday, at approximately 1:00 AM, police officers responded to the 800 block of Cabell Avenue for a reported attempted abduction.

Two women reported they were walking along Madison Ave when they noticed two men following them.

The men continued to follow the women as they walked to their apartment complex

Police say one of the suspects grabbed one of the women from behind as she was attempting to enter the apartment. She fought back by using her elbow to strike the suspect in the stomach and began screaming while the other woman turned around to see the second man moving towards her. Both women then began to scream and the two suspects fled on foot towards Madison Avenue.

The suspects are described as being of men of average height and weight. Both were wearing navy blue tank tops shirts with the words “Love Me” printed in yellow or white on the chest of the shirt.
