Students at Clark Elementary School got to celebrate their success today. They along with faculty and parents patted themselves on the back for making Adequate Yearly Progress. It's the first time ever the students have made AYP since it was enacted in 2001 as part of the No Child Left Behind Act. They proudly met all state requirements in reading and math.
"They're really excited, we're really excited. Finally it feels like all of our hard work has paid off and we're really proud of them," said teacher Carrie Oertel.
During the celebration, teachers revealed their new sign that will show off the results. The sign will hang outside of the school.
