Revenue is increasing for Charlottesville schools, but so is the cost.
The Charlottesville School Board reviewed budget priorities, which include salaries, class size, and initiatives. One board member recommended finding ways to increase revenue.
"One way is to make sure our enrollment figures stay stable. Another way would be to increase our grant writing capacity to really encourage that sort of activity," said Julie Gronlund Chair of the Charlottesville School Board.
Enrollment in Charlottesville schools has steadily declined in the last decade.
