If you've been out and about today you may have noticed that all of the main roads and side roads are clear thanks to the City of Charlottesville's Public Works Department.
Two shifts of 24 trucks headed out all over the city to sand and salt the roads and sidewalks. City officials said they were happy with the outcome Monday.
"We were real pleased with how things went yesterday. There were no major problems, there were no major surprises and I think the fortunate part was the temperature. It was just well above freezing and so a lot of the snow didn't stick," said Ric Barrick, from the City of Charlottesville.
The city spends about $320,000 per year on snow removal. City officials said they barely made a dent in that amount with this storm.
