The Holly Trolley is gearing up to take residents sight-seeing again for the Holidays.

Crews have prepared the trolley today for its seasonal tours, which start this evening. It gives riders a chance to take in all the Christmas lights and decorations around the city.

The trolley has been around for about the past five years. Organizers say it's a great thing for the city.

"We want to encourage people to come and experience how wonderful the whole downtown area is, and during the season there are many neighborhoods in the downtown area that have beautiful lights and we just want to be able to share that with our community," said CTS marketing specialist, Diane Taylor.

The Holly Trolley is scheduled to run today, Wednesday, and Thursday. The ride lasts an hour and is free. "Downtown for the Holidays" is sponsoring this year's trolley. The Holly Trolley runs every half hour, from 6:30 until 8 p.m. Riders should meet at April's Corner on the Downtown Mall to register. It's on a first-come, first serve-basis.
