Habitat for Humanity's "Midweek Construction Crew" is asking for your help.

The group normally aims to build five to six houses a year, but this year they're increasing that goal to 14, which is why they're looking for more volunteers.

The crew meets on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, but no commitment is necessary.

Current volunteers say it's a rewarding experience.

"The mission for habitat is to give families a step up and change their lives and I've seen too many life changing experiences here with the Habitat families; I want to keep doing it," said Volunteer Bill Stackhouse.

Everyone from the community is invited to participate, and no construction skills are necessary.

If you're interested in volunteering you should call (434) 953-5246.
