More than 10,000 residents are still without power Friday afternoon after Thursday's ice and snow storm.
When the ice and snow storm blew through Charlottesville, it knocked out power to nearly 37,000 residents in Charlottesville and surrounding counties.
Dominion Power spokesperson, David Botkins said crews worked throughout the night restoring power to thousands of residents.
"This really was ground zero for this particular storm," said Botkins. "We've got plenty of extra crews brought in from various parts of the state."
Power is expected to be restored to all residence by 10 p.m. on Friday.
