The Charlottesville Albemarle hosted their first Annual Holiday Adoptathon, and pets looking for new homes were dressed in their best holiday attire.

SPCA officials found homes for more than 30 animals, but say they still have many others that need a permanent residence, something they believe means a lot to domestic animals.

"Oh it means the world," said SPCA Director of Development Charters Wilson. "It means new homes and people to love and other companion animals and a nice yard to play in and security."

If you'd like to adopt a pet this holiday season, you should call the SPCA at (434) 973-5959.
