Golf Cart Crash Sends 8 to Hospital

Virginia State Police Press Release:

"At approximately 2:45 p.m., May 27, Virginia State Police investigated a crash on Route 1304, Lake Forest Drive, at Route 1322, Beauregard Way, in Louisa County.

The crash occurred when the driver of a 2005 EZGO golf cart, who was traveling north on Lake Forest Drive, lost control of the golf cart and overturned coming to rest onto its passenger side.

Seven of the eight occupants suffered minor injuries and were transported to UVA Medical Center. The eighth occupant suffered serious non-life threatening injuries and was flown to UVA Medical Center.

The driver of the golf cart was charged with reckless driving.
