The stockings have been stuffed and now the numbers are in. The WAHU Stocking drive was a success.
Thanks to your donations, more than 150 stockings were stuffed full of goodies and are now ready to be distributed, which will mean a brighter Christmas for many needy teens in our area. This is an age group that is sometimes forgotten during the hustle and bustle of the holiday season.
"The WAHU Stockings effort allowed children ages 13-17, who sometimes are left out, but who are in need nevertheless, and it gave them a chance to have something additional for Christmas," said Major Bruce Smith of the Salvation Army.
The stockings will be delivered around the area on December 20 and 21.
