For the 16th year in a row Charlottesville residents have a safe way to get home from holiday festivities, and it's doesn't cost a thing.
The Chandler Law Group has started up its annual "Safe Ride Home" program again for the season. All residents have to do is call Yellow cab of Charlottesville, mention the program or the Chandler Law Group, and they'll be given a ride home for free within a ten mile radius of the city.
"All during the year our law business takes the position that we're sorry that people get involved in accidents and we're honored when they call us to help them, but during the holiday season this is an opportunity for us to make the holidays safer by keeping drinking drivers off the road," said partner, David Kendall.
The program runs through New Years Day. The firm says over the years they've provided more than 21,000 free rides home.
