Representative Robert Hurt on the Supreme Court's ruling on Defense of Marriage Act:

"What I think is important about that ruling is the fact it does not in any way effect Virginia. It does not impose its view on the commonwealth of Virginia...and to the extent Virginia has taken the lead on the issue the way it has, I think that is important and important to know about that decision."

Representative Robert Hurt on the future of standardized testing in Virginia:

"One thing I will say, I do believe that decisions that are made for our young people in their classrooms really should be made at a state level and more important, at a local level."
