Charlottesville Police have made an arrest in connection with last night's shooting.

19-year-old Chay Revarlo Wilson of Kents Store allegedly shot 20-year-old Mark Anthony Murphy, Jr. in the stomach.

The shooting happened just after 7 p.m. in the Friendship Court apartments off Monticello Road in Charlottesville. Police in Goochland County were also hunting for Wilson.

"They had nine felony warrants [for his arrest]. Three for attempted murder, three for attempted robbery, and three for use of a fire arm in commission of a felony. So we had been searching for him for several days prior to the shooting last night," said Charlottesville Police Lt. Gary Pleasants.

The victim of last nights shooting is now in stable condition.

Police say Wilson faces charges of malicious wounding in Charlottesville as well as additional charges in Goochland County.
