Man Accused of Killing a Hunting Dog Enter Pleas

July 10, 2013

A man accused of killing a hunting beagle on his property last year entered his pleas in court on Wednesday.

Michael Mullins pleaded guilty today to marijuana possession and petit larceny.

He also entered an Alford plea on charges of animal cruelty and removing a GPS collar. An Alford plea means the defendant admits there is enough evidence that could possibly convince a jury or judge to find him guilty.

Mullins received a suspended sentence and will not spend any time in jail.
