A special Martin Luther King celebration was held at the Mary Williams Senior Center. Pastor R.A. Johnson shared his memories of the civil rights leader with the center's seniors. Johnson is the only local pastor still living who marched with King in 1965 from Selma to Montgomery Alabama.
"He brought about change in the hearts and the minds of people in this nation," said R.A. Johnson, Pastor of Pilgrim Baptist Church.
At age 35, King was the youngest man to ever receive the Nobel Peace Prize.
