A former member of the Hollymead Homeowner's Association is facing an embezzlement charge.

Patricia Anne Cuthbert was arrested by Albemarle County police on August 12th, and charged with one felony count of embezzlement.

Officials say the charge stems from her involvement with the Homeowner's Association. She was released on a $10,000 secured bond.

The Hollymead Citizens Association Board of Directors recently informed residents that $73,000 in funds was missing from the association's bank account.

The association was eventually reimbursed $25,000, leaving about $48,000 still unaccounted for.

An audit in June by a Charlottesville accounting firm showed the transactions were made from 2008 to 2012.
