LYNCHBURG, Va. (AP) - Well-known television and music personalities are on the list of convocation speakers at Liberty University this year.
Willie Robertson from the popular reality show "Duck Dynasty" will speak to students on Sept. 27, followed by singer Justin Bieber's mother, Pattie Mallette, on Sept. 30. On Sept. 23, television and film actor Kirk Cameron will speak on campus. Students also will hear from professional surfer Bethany Hamilton, whose story was depicted in the movie "Soul Surfer," on Oct. 16.
The stars will join numerous conservative and Christian speakers in appearing at the weekly addresses to students.
The Lynchburg university was founded by the late Moral Majority leader Jerry Falwell.
