Old Crozet Library Closes

August 23, 2013

The old Crozet Library closed for good at 1 PM on Friday.

The doors and even the book drops have been locked.

A new library has been built, but Branch Manager Wendy Saz says that there were a lot of memories tied up in the old building.

"It’s been home to so many people, so many memories. It's served so many purposes to this community... It’s a railroad station, library and we hope the next public function. It will always stand as a part of this community and its history."

The new Crozet Library, located on the corner of Crozet Avenue and Library Avenue, will be opening up at 9 AM on September 4.

If you have a book on hold, you can let the Jefferson Madison Regional Library System know you want to pick it up at another location.
