The old Crozet Library closed for good on Friday, and now, it's all about starting a new chapter at the new library.
The library staff planned a book brigade on Monday to move all of the books from the old library, to the new one located at 2020 Library Ave. The plan is to make a human chain to pass one book at a time by hand from the old library to the new one.
When the library moved into the old train depot, all the books were moved in by a book brigade. Library staff want to honor that event by using a book brigade for this move.
Residents and readers of all ages are encouraged to help move the books. The book brigade begins at 10 a.m., but all volunteers should arrive by 9:30.
Both libraries are currently closed, but the new Crozet will open to the public on Wednesday, September 4th, at 9:00 a.m.
