Charlottesville's only volunteer, non-profit theatre, Play On!, is getting closer to finding a new home.

Play On! had to move out of the IX building in May and moved all of their stuff into storage. The theatre is currently negotiation with a building in the downtown area and are very optimistic about the project.

With this down time, Play On! has been working on things that haven't had time to do in the past.

Alex Citron, Executive Director of Play On!, said, "We've begun developing an educational program that will be in place once we reopen the theatre. We've brought on some exciting new staff members in areas like fundraising and development. We've got a new website designer remaking our website. So, a lot of the things we never had time to get to previously, we've used this hiatus to work in those areas."

Fundraising for the new facility is on going but in the case that a building isn't found by the end of the year, donors will be refunded their money.
