A car accident sent one man to University of Virginia Medical Center this morning.
It happened at the intersection of 7th and High Street. Charlottesville police say one driver was following another too closely.
The passenger of the truck that was hit had injuries to his neck and back. Police say to give yourself extra room between you and the car in front of you.
"You never know when they're going to stop," said Officer Steve Grissom, CPD. "You got to give yourself enough space and enough time, just don't be in such a hurry."
The driver of the car that hit the truck was given a ticket. As for the man taken to the medical center, his injuries are said to be minor.
