2 Charged with Vandalism, Shooting at Cars and Buildings

Police arrested two men Saturday for allegedly vandalizing cars and shooting BB and pellet guns at other vehicles and buildings.

Albemarle County Police say 19-year-old Chanando Brown of Charlottesville and 19-year-old Robert Dyer of Keswick were arrested overnight. They say between 10 p.m. Friday and 4 a.m. Saturday, they shot into cars along Peyton Drive.

Both men face felony charges of vandalism and shooting into an occupied vehicle.

They were taken to the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail but were released on bond.

Police say more charges are pending.

Police ask anyone in the Peyton Drive area with property damage to call the department at 434-977-9041.
