An Albemarle County man responded to a Craigslist ad and is now behind bars charged with rape, according to court documents.

Search warrants filed in Charlottesville Circuit Court show a woman posted a classified ad offering house cleaning services, massages and exotic dances, and 29-year-old Nathaniel Lamb responded.

The documents say the two met on Aug. 27 near the KFC on Angus Road in Charlottesville. Lamb allegedly forced the woman into his car, bound her with duct tape and zip ties, and raped her.

Then, documents say, he took her to the Exxon gas station at the intersection of Route 29 and Hydraulic Road, where she instructed her to buy cigarettes. The documents allege he threatened her with a Taser and told her not to tell anyone what was happening.

After she made the purchase, Lamb allegedly drove her around and raped her again.

Police say the night came to an end at the Harris Teeter in the Barracks Road Shopping Center around 2 a.m. on Aug. 28. Lamb allegedly let the woman into the store alone to pick up some items, and she collapsed once she was inside.

A customer called police to the store, and the investigation began.

Last week, an investigator interviewed Lamb who admitted having sex with the woman but denied it was against her will. He admitted she was bound with duct tape but said that she agreed to move forward with it.

Search warrants show police took duct tape, cotton swabs from Lamb's car and information from his cell phone as part of the investigation. From his house, police took the woman's purse and her clothing.

Lamb is being held at the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail pending a court hearing on Oct. 17.
