Tractor Trailer Accident Slows Charlottesville Traffic

A tractor trailer overturns in Charlottesville early Friday morning, causing some traffic to back up.

The tractor trailer was carrying recycled cardboard when it overturned at the Route 250 East and Route 29 exit ramp shortly before 5 AM.

A hazardous materials crew was called out to clean up some fuel that spilled.

The driver has been charged with failure to maintain control of a vehicle.

The scene was cleared at 10:42 AM. No injuries have been reported.
