The greenest school in America will soon be found here in Charlottesville.
The Waldorf School is getting a makeover that will not only be environmental friendly but beneficial to the community as well. Featuring a geothermal heating and cooling system, solar technologies, and water reclamation, just to name a few, this school will be the first to adhere to the ultimate in environmental responsibility.
"Fabulous people who are doing lots of different kinds of green building projects in Charlottesville. It's the number one city in america for many years and it only seems like a perfect thing to have the greenest school in America here in Charlottesville", said Sarah Tremaine, a Waldorf Foundation Chair.
This school will be finished by fall of 2007.
