Murphy, Harrington Families to Raise Awareness of Missing Persons

Oct. 3, 2013

The families of Morgan Harrington and Alexis Murphy will attend an event to raise awareness about missing people.

Friday's event is part of an eight-state tour by the CUE Center for Missing Persons. It is sponsored by Save the Next Girl, a nonprofit formed by Harrington's parents, Dan and Gill Harrington, to prevent crimes against young women by promoting personal safety.

Murphy was last seen August 3rd by her family. A suspect in her disappearance, Randy Allen Taylor, has been indicted on an abduction charge and an unrelated possession of a stolen vehicle charge.

Harrington disappeared in October 2009 after leaving a concert in Charlottesville. Her remains were found on an Albemarle County farm in January 2010. No arrests have been made.

The event is scheduled to take place at the Lovingston Cafe on Front St. in Lovingston, VA and will begin at 2 PM. More information can be found at the link below.
