Charlottesville Police made three arrests at a Charlottesville restaurant late Saturday night.

Local police responded to Mama Mia's along Grady Avenue in Charlottesville just before midnight Saturday night. Police say there was a large disorderly crowd outside of the restaurant when they arrived on scene.

Two people were arrested for public drunkenness and a third person, 33 year-old Dennis Jackson was arrested for assault and battery.

Police say Jackson was working as a bouncer at the bar.
