The "Save the Fireworks" committee met Monday for the last time before 2008's July 4th show in Charlottesville.
Organizers said this year's McIntire Park display will be similar to last year's. It will last about 25 minutes and feature more than 1200 shells.
The show starts at "one minute past dark," which is usually between 9:15 and 9:30.
There are a few rules organizers want to remind people of before they head to the celebration:
- No personal fireworks
- No alcoholic beverages
- No pets
- No cars in the park
In the even of bad weather, call the Fireworks Hotline: 434-220-0799.
Schedule of Events:
Buses will pick up from K-mart and the County Office Building from 4:00pm to 9:15 pm.
Kids games, will start at 6:00pm.
Food vendors open at 4:00pm.
Live music will start at 7:00pm and last until the fireworks show.
