One person has been arrested in connection the meth lab bust in Charlottesville earlier this week.
New court documents show a confidential informant tipped off police about a meth lab being operated inside a home in the Belmont neighborhood.
Thirty-seven-year-old James Robert Maher is facing felony charges for cocaine distribution.
Court documents indicate Maher lives in an apartment on Franklin Street where the drug bust took place on Wednesday.
The confidential informant told police that Maher was making and selling meth out of his apartment.
Search warrants show police took equipment used for making meth out of the home during the bust. A hazmat crew spent several hours cleaning up the area and making sure it was safe.
Officials say three people were detained at the scene during the bust, but have since been released.
The investigation is ongoing, and more charges relating to the meth lab are likely to be announced in the near future.
