Reston Boy, 17, Dies after Being Shot

RESTON, Va. (AP) - Police say a 17-year-old boy who was shot in Reston has died.

Fairfax County police say Juan Carlos Godoy of Reston was pronounced dead early Sunday. He was shot on Friday morning at a home in Reston.

An acquaintance of the victim, 26-year-old Javier DeJesus Martinez, has been charged with illegal firearm possession. Police say the investigation is still active, and additional charges are possible. Investigators have been trying to determine whether the shooting was intentional or accidental.
