"Well this is a very huge logistical undertaking. Certainly in the post 9-11 era it becomes even more complex," said Albemarle County spokesperson Lee Catlin.

Just how complex, coordination between the local police force, Virginia state police, U.S. marshals, and the secret service as well as other agencies to prepare for the president's visit. With all the preparation what can residents expect to see?

"We can tell people that they can expect to see traffic delays, and congestion tomorrow morning around the monticello area," said Catlin.

As for what roads will be closed, officials can't say for obvious security reasons. But VDOT is warning drivers to avoid route 20, and the route 20 exit off of interstate 64 as well as route 53. Officials saying their number one concern is security, preparing for everything, including possible protesters.

"We certainly have heard discussions about the possibility of protesters and that has been very much a part of the planning that's going on," said Catlin.

But in all the planning local officials are hopeful focus won't be taken away from the event itself.

"We really want the event to honor those people who are being awarded United States citizenship. That's really the focus of the event and a huge day for them, so we want to make sure that we're creating the kind of circumstances that allow that to happen in a dignified and appropriate way," said Catlin.

The event takes place at 10 a.m. but shuttles for ticketholders begin their transporation around 6 a.m. Officials say drivers should avoid the Monticello area in between those times.
