Va. Beach police arrest Johnathan Lee Messer. He is believed to be connected to a recent disappearance of an Albemarle Co. teenager, who has since been found alive.

An arrest has been made on a suspect who was connected to the disappearance of an Albemarle County teenager on Friday, October 18th.

On Oct. 23rd, Virginia Beach Police served warrants on 24-year-old Johnathan Lee Messer from Kingsport, TN. Messer was charged with one felony count of production or distribution of child pornography, one felony count of use of electronic means for child pornography and two felony counts of possession of child pornography.

Messer is currently being held without bond at the Virginia Beach City Jail.

Police say that it is important to point out that this was not a random act and there is no public safety threat for the Albemarle community.

This case remains under investigation and no further information is available at this time.
